A Refreshing Revolution in Summer Drinks. Prosecco today is not only a symbol of Italian charm but also the basis of one of the biggest trends in recent years – mixed Spritz cocktails. These light, refreshing drinks have won the hearts of aperitif lovers worldwide, and their popularity keeps growing. Spritz is no longer just about Aperol – other variations with limoncello, elderflower liqueur, fruit liqueurs, or exotic flavors are also coming to the forefront.
Why is Spritz so popular?
• The main reason is its lightness and lower alcohol content. Spritz is the ideal choice for long summer days and evenings when you don’t want heavy drinks with strong spirits.
• Easy to prepare, as you only need three ingredients – prosecco, liqueur, and soda – plus ice. My advice? The more ice, the tastier the drink.
• Great variety of flavors, so everyone can find their favorite combination, from citrus to floral or fruity notes.
• Attractive appearance! Spritz is visually very appealing and therefore perfect for social media photos.
And what are the biggest stars of the Spritz scene?
Aperol Spritz
A classic that never gets old. The combination of prosecco, Aperol, and soda creates an iconic orange drink with a gently bittersweet taste and notes of orange and herbs. The original recipe is 3 parts prosecco, 2 parts Aperol, and 1 part soda, served with ice and an orange slice. But if you mix it in a completely different ratio to your taste, the important thing is that you enjoy it. And if you add a bit of fresh orange juice to your Aperol Spritz, the drink becomes perfection itself.
Limoncello Spritz
For lovers of fresh citrus flavors, there is the Limoncello Spritz. Sweeter, lemon-flavored limoncello combined with prosecco and soda creates a summer explosion of refreshing flavors. It pairs well with a slice of lemon and a sprig of mint or thyme.
Hugo Spritz
Hugo is a gentle, floral spritz made with elderflower liqueur (most commonly St-Germain, but in the Czech Republic often Rudolf Jelínek’s elderflower liqueur), prosecco, soda, lime, and mint. Originally a regional specialty from South Tyrol, it is now one of the biggest hits in European bars. Hugo is light, aromatic, and perfectly refreshing.
Sarti Spritz
The new star of summer 2025! Sarti Spritz scores with fruity character and notes of blood orange, mango, and passion fruit. The combination of prosecco, Sarti Rosa liqueur, and soda creates a pink, modern, and distinctly fruity drink that is rapidly gaining fans, especially among the younger generation.
Arancello Spritz

Campari Spritz is a refreshing cocktail, and although the Campari brand is over 50 years older than Aperol, the spritz with its iconic bitter became its sharper and more aromatic competitor much later. It consists of prosecco, Campari, and soda in the same ratio as the classic spritz.
