The history of Nani Rizzi dates back to 1880 when Giovanni Nani and Angelina began cultivating grapes in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene region. This passion for winemaking gradually passed down through generations, and today the descendants of the Nani Rizzi founders still manage this famous vineyard. The unique Veneto area provides ideal conditions for growing the Glera grape variety, which is the winery’s main asset. Traditional hand-harvesting methods preserve the authenticity and quality of the grapes. With the use of modern technologies, further processing and storage of the wine ensures absolute freshness and a distinctive taste.
The winery primarily produces quality still wines and prosecco D.O.C. and D.O.C.G., guaranteeing high quality. The D.O.C.G. vineyards are located in the Conegliano – Valdobbiadene area, considered the cradle of prosecco. The grapes are full of flavor with a pronounced fruity bouquet, and the prosecco has a higher concentration of bubbles. The delicacy of the sparkling wine is mainly achieved by leaving the grape skins in the must for several hours during production, though the exact duration remains undisclosed for practical reasons.
