La Gioiosa Winery
La Gioiosa Winery is a Story Without Borders
La Gioiosa and Amorosa – Joyful and seductive: expressions that convey the desire to enjoy every moment to the fullest, used by poets and writers to describe Marca Trevigiana – the province of Treviso, Italy.
La Gioiosa and their wines represent celebration, beauty, friendship, family, and good times spent in great company.

The vineyards are located in the areas of Treviso, Valdobbiadene, Asolo, and Cartizze – all homes to Prosecco. Italy is the wine, Italy that the whole world enjoys. The story of La Gioiosa winery begins in the 1920s when the grandfather of the current president, Giancarlo Moretti Polegato, purchased several vineyards in the hills of Treviso, in the heart of the region producing the finest wines. Throughout the twentieth century, new generations and developmental paths have expanded Prosecco beyond national borders, contributing to its worldwide success.
Everything started at the winery’s main estate, the Crocetta del Montello farm. To this day, all ancestral traditions are preserved here, and the estate itself remains the cornerstone of their winemaking activities. Besides the Glera grape variety used to produce Prosecco, they also cultivate several other varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon. A remarkable feature is the Vineyard Gym – a fitness training circuit located among the vineyard rows in a beautiful natural setting, available free of charge to all sports enthusiasts.
At this estate in the Valdobbiadene area, amidst hills declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, farmers and agronomists work on producing wines that reflect the renaissance and success of this land in the form of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG. This magnificent region is a turbulent green sea of stunning vineyards adorning the slopes between the towns of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano. Winemaking here is a centuries-old art passionately nurtured by the community.
La Gioiosa produces several special and rare wines that are often awarded at international competitions. Among them is Prosecco Rosé DOC Brut, a blend of the white Glera variety and the red Pinot Noir variety. This rosé prosecco is fresh, fruity, and very elegant, and you can find it offered at every Prosecco Picnic in 2024.
