The Pink Phenomenon! 🌸✨

Pink Prosecco has quickly become a phenomenon and is a highly sought-after sparkling wine. Its production has been approved by the Italian authority for the protection of origin and quality of wines, known as the "Consorzio di Tutela del Prosecco DOC." This organization in Italy oversees, regulates, and establishes the rules and regulations for the production of Prosecco, including the pink variant.

At the same time, it also grants certification for quality and origin protection. This was a significant step in the fall of 2020, enabling Italian winemakers to produce another variant of the popular sparkling wine with greater flexibility and creativity. Winemakers can now respond more effectively to the increasing demand for Prosecco as a whole, and in the market, they have the opportunity to offer additional products to sparkling wine enthusiasts.

Today, almost all producers are crafting pink Prosecco, which has garnered even more admirers than before. Pink Prosecco is primarily made from two main grape varieties: Glera and Pinot Noir. Their combination results in a beautiful and refreshing pink beverage that has enchanted everyone, particularly with its delicate flavor and lively bubbles. The pink hue in Prosecco is achieved by adding a small quantity of Pinot Noir grapes to Glera grapes, giving the wine its characteristic pink color, subtle fruity, and floral taste. The ratio of grape varieties may vary among different wineries and brands, but it generally hovers around 90% Glera and 10% Pinot Noir.

Pink Prosecco is a fantastic choice for those seeking something new and refreshing, whether for a celebration or a casual get-together with friends. Being captivated by the charm of pink Prosecco is a genuine experience, mainly due to its delicate fruity notes and floral aromas, as mentioned earlier! Most pink Prosecco variants are Extra Dry, but in the last year, the highly sought-after and trendy Brut variant has also become available in our market.

Cheers! 🥂
